After all these years, she still loves being in the classroom teaching her children. Sandy has over 40 years of experience working with young children. She also has a strong background in working with children with special needs.

Goals of the Program

• Increase the range of social interaction with peers

• Help each child gain feeling of self-confidence and self-esteem

• Provide opportunities for the child to develop the ability to share and listen to others

• Provide activities that encourage creativity and experimentation

• Provide opportunities to develop fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and improve gross motor skills

Sandy's School takes pride in the fact that our small based center provides a home away from home atmosphere with a lot of emphasis placed on personal interaction with families and children. Our program is known for providing a very friendly, warm, comfortable, and nurturing environment which allows children to learn at their own pace without feeling pressured. We have smaller teacher to children ratios which can offer a variety of learning experiences to enhance each child’s individual growth. We offer a structured and organized curriculum which promotes many learning experiences and emphasizes having fun and playing.

Curriculum

PAW Program

Sandy’s School has developed a program called the PAW Program to enhance and expand our curriculum. In this program, there are three different segments. The three segments are Project, Activity, and Worksheet which make up and stands for the word PAW. Within this program different developmental skills are being used in each segment. Each of these segments develops children’s skills in different ways and ideas. The PAW Program will be done in the classroom daily to ensure a well developed curriculum.
